What is the heat resistant temperature of the pressure gauge?

In various standards for pressure gauges in China, generally only the normal operating ambient temperature of the instrument is specified, such as - 40~70 ℃ for general pressure gauges and - 25~55 ℃ for capsule gauges, without specifying a high heat resistant temperature. Although some pressure gauge manufacturers produce heat resistant or high temperature resistant pressure gauges, few manufacturers explicitly propose a heat resistant or high temperature resistant temperature, which also makes pressure gauge users feel difficult.

What is the operating temperature of the so-called heat resistant or high temperature resistant pressure gauge? Is it the operating temperature or the measured medium temperature?

Here, we first need to understand the welding temperatures of various pressure gauge spring tubes during welding, which are:     Welding method Welding temperature Applicable range

Soldering (soldering) at 120 ℃ is mostly used for welding copper joints and copper spring tubes

Silver welding at 600 ℃ is mostly used for welding copper joints and stainless steel spring tubes

Argon arc welding at 1500 ℃ is mostly used for welding copper joints and stainless steel spring tubes

Therefore, generally speaking, as long as you know the welding method of the spring tube, you can also know the high ambient temperature that this type of pressure gauge can withstand, that is, the brazed pressure gauge can work normally below 120 ℃, the silver welded pressure gauge can work normally below 600 ℃, and the argon arc welded pressure gauge can work normally below 1500 ℃.

In addition, there are certain requirements for the material of some components used for heat or high temperature resistant pressure gauges. For example, the lining of the instrument should not be made of plastic, but should be made of aluminum or other high temperature resistant materials; The dial of the instrument shall not be made of plastic, but of aluminum or iron. Because at higher temperatures, the plastic liner and dial can deform, affecting the operation of the pointer, and making the dial lose its use function.

What is the normal operating ambient temperature of various pressure gauges?

      General pressure gauge - 40~70 ℃

      Precision pressure gauge 5~40 ℃

      Electric contact pressure gauge - 40~70 ℃

      Ammonia pressure gauge - 40~70 ℃

      Capsule pressure gauge - 25~55 ℃

      Diaphragm pressure gauge - 40~60 ℃

      Shock resistant pressure gauge - 40~60 ℃

      Diaphragm pressure gauge - 20~60 ℃

Why should pressure gauges be calibrated?

Due to the wear and deformation of the internal components of the pressure gauge after a period of use, various failures or changes in the value of the gauge occur, resulting in a loss of accuracy and a phenomenon of "error". In order to ensure the accuracy of the measured value of the pressure gauge and achieve the purpose of correct indication and safe and reliable operation, periodic verification should be conducted for the pressure gauge.
