Three pressure measuring methods commonly used for pressure measuring instruments

There are many instruments for measuring pressure and vacuum, and there are three commonly used pressure measurement methods for pressure detection instruments.

      1. Liquid column pressure measurement method

According to the principle of hydrostatics, the test pressure is converted into the height of the liquid column for measurement. Such as U-tube pressure gauge, single tube pressure gauge, inclined tube pressure gauge, etc. This pressure gauge has a simple structure and is convenient to use. However, its accuracy is affected by the capillary action, density, parallax, and other factors of the working fluid, and the measurement range is relatively narrow. It can only be used for on-site indication, generally used to measure low pressure or vacuum.

       2. Elastic pressure measurement method

According to the principle of deformation of elastic elements under force, the measured pressure is converted into displacement of deformation of elastic elements for measurement, such as spring tube pressure gauge, corrugated tube pressure gauge, and diaphragm pressure gauge. This type of pressure gauge has a simple structure, low price, reliable operation, and convenient use. It is commonly used as a local detection and monitoring device for pressure in situations where accuracy requirements are not high and the signal does not require remote transmission.

       3. Pressure measurement method

"The measured pressure signal is converted into electrical signals (voltage, current, frequency, etc.) through mechanical or electrical components for measurement and transmission. For example, pressure and pressure transmitters such as type, resistive type, inductive type, comparator type, and Hall type are used.". This type of instrument has simple structure, wide measurement range, small static pressure error, high accuracy, and convenient adjustment and use. It is commonly used for measuring rapid changes, pulsating pressure, and long-distance transmission of pressure signals.

Three commonly used pressure measuring methods for pressure measuring instruments

In various human production activities, the application of pressure measurement and control has become very common, and there are many types of instruments used for pressure measurement, including liquid column pressure gauges, elastic pressure gauges, and piston pressure gauges. Here are three commonly used pressure measurement methods:

       1. Requirements for measurement during process production, including range and accuracy. In the case of static testing (or slow change), the maximum value of the measured pressure is specified to be two-thirds of the full scale value of the pressure gauge; In the case of pulsating (fluctuating) pressure, the maximum value of the measured pressure should be 1/2 of the full scale value of the pressure gauge.

       2. Environmental conditions on site, such as ambient temperature, corrosion, vibration, humidity, etc. Such as shockproof pressure gauges for vibration ambient conditions.

       3. The properties of the measured medium, such as state (gas, liquid), temperature, viscosity, corrosivity, contamination, flammability, and explosiveness. For example, oxygen meters, acetylene meters, with a "No Oil" sign, are specially used for corrosion resistant pressure gauges, high-temperature resistant pressure gauges, diaphragm pressure gauges, and other special media.

Three Pressure Measuring Methods for Pressure Detectors

Pressure detector is a measuring instrument that has certain applications in multiple industries. There are three pressure measurement methods for pressure detectors: liquid column pressure measurement, elastic pressure measurement, and electrical pressure measurement. These three pressure measurement methods are commonly used by pressure detectors. How much do users know about these three pressure measurement methods? Today, let's introduce these three commonly used pressure measurement methods in detail.

       1.Liquid column pressure measurement method

       3. Electrical pressure measurement method

The measured pressure signal is converted into electrical signals (voltage, current, frequency, etc.) through mechanical or electrical components for measurement and transmission. For example, pressure sensors and pressure transmitters such as capacitive, resistive, inductive, comparator, and Hall chip types. This type of instrument has simple structure, wide measurement range, small static pressure error, high accuracy, and convenient adjustment and use. It is commonly used for measuring rapid changes, pulsating pressure, and long-distance transmission of pressure signals.
